"Light/Sound Systems" or "Mind Machines" - have been on the market for several years. Thousands of users have logged many hours on them with virtually no reported ill effects. But there are some situations and conditions where use of our products is strongly discouraged. These devices create flickering light, which can cause seizures in persons with photosensitive epilepsy. You may be photosensitive and not know it. 1derworks products are designed for avocational and recreational purposes. No medical claims are made for these products, express or implied. They are not medical devices and should not be used for the relief of any medical condition. Please consult with your licensed medical practitioner prior to use for any other purpose as the machine is not intended as a replacement for medical or psychological treatment.

Except for certain medical devices (see next paragraph), our products are not intended to affect the structure or any function of the human body. These products are not approved for any purpose by the US FDA. If you, or anyone else who will use one of our machines, are subject to any form of seizures, epilepsy or visual photosensitivity, are using a pacemaker, suffering cardiac arrhythmia or other heart disorders, currently taking stimulants, tranquilizers or psychotropic medications, specifically including illicit drugs and alcohol, please do not use our, or any other Light/Sound mind machine system. In addition, even if you have never had a seizure, there is a small chance that you are photosensitive, and exposure to flashing lights can cause a seizure. If you are not willing to accept this risk, please do not use a light/sound mind machine system. Your experience should feel pleasant and we recommend that you set the volume and light intensity levels low before you, or anyone you loan your system to, uses it.

Medical Devices (CES ULTRA, FM 10/C) - these devices have been approved by the US FDA for use by those so indicated in their respective product descriptions. US Federal Law restricts the sale of these devices only on the order of a licensed health care professional.

Payments Accepted

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express cards and eCheck through PayPal (currently available to US, UK, and Canadian customers only). We also accept money orders and guaranteed checks in US dollars (USD). Credit card payments will show a charge to LifeWorks, 1derworks, Paypal LifeWorks, Paypal - LifeWorks 1derworks, or Clickbank.

Shipping Policy

In-stock items will be shipped within five business days.

Within USA

We ship via USPS, UPS, and FedEx. Due to shipment policies of these carriers, we recommend that you allow 2-3 weeks for delivery in the US. Delivery to remote areas may take longer. Typically our standard shipment method provides delivery within 3-5 business days of order placement.

International

We ship via USPS, UPS, and FedEx with signature service to verify delivery. We reserve the right to refuse sales and shipments we feel pose too great a risk of fraud, loss, or other negative impact on our business, or are declined or flagged as dangerous by PayPal. We will refund any sale so refused. In some cases, we will seek to verify an order to conform to Paypal security policies. In these cases we will allow 7 business days for verification after which we will cancel the nonverified order.

Lost Shipments

By placing an order with us you agree that you will not hold 1derworks.com or 1derWorks liable for any orders lost or damaged while in the possession of the shipment carrier.

Taxes

Some orders may incur sales tax. Sales taxes will be shown at checkout.

Various tariffs and taxes may apply to shipments to some countries and are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Back Orders and Split-ship Orders

Back Orders - In the unlikely event that any items in your order are unavailable for immediate delivery, we will contact you. You will have the option to cancel your order, wait until the back order item(s) can be shipped, or split-ship (see next item).

Split-ship Orders - Occasionally, we must ship items in separate shipments. We will notify you if this is the case with your order.

Guarantee, Return, and Exchange Policy

CDs by Joseph Bennette - If you are dissatisfied with the quality of the CD you order, contact the publisher for a replacement.

Books - If you are dissatisfied with the book's trim (printing and binding), contact the publisher for a replacement copy.

Downloads - Downloaded materials may not be returned or exchanged.

Returns - Return shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser. 1derworks.com will not refund any duties, taxes, shipping charges, and/or fees paid on the order. Items must be returned undamaged in their original containers.

Refunds - Refunds or exchanges will occur after returned goods have been received and processed by 1derworks.com. Refunds pertain only to the purchase price and do not include shipping and handling charges or restocking fees.

Theta Technologies, Neurofitness, and Mindplace offer 30 days unconditional guarantee on their products. Photosonix further offers a 1 year warranty on their products. A 10% return/restocking fee will be assessed on all items offered with free shipping that are subsequently returned for reasons other than defect.
